The Death of Justice: Book I
Greetings, I'm pleased to introduce my project, The Death of Justice Book One, The Saga of Justice Jennings. It is the story of Justice Jennings, a character one cannot help but root for and fall in love with. In the story, he grows from a naïve young man from a broken home to a revolutionary. The story begins with Justice Jennings as a 10-year-old child, and by the time we finish Part Two, Justice is 32 years old. He is charged with a crime he did not commit and is sentenced to 7 years in prison. Justice has no frame of reference for prison survival, and after being released (seven years served) on parole, his position is that he would rather die than return to prison. Determined to start over; after all, he was always innocent, Justice is faced with a harsh reality: The world has changed for the worse in the seven years he has been away. Justice also discovers a successful re-entry is complex, and to compound his frustration; he learns a dirty police officer may have framed him for the crime that sent him to prison. With a violation of parole imminent and frustration mounting, Justice is desperate, running out of options; he is about to snap but then discovers his destiny. He has been chosen to be the next great black leader. Can he fulfill his higher calling? Will he die before he makes a difference?
This story is set in Brooklyn, NY.
