The Dead Cure
Four prominent physicians collaborated in the writing of this book about a Boston hospital and each demanded anonymity to protect their careers and their lives. The Dead Cure ...at this hospital, the patients are cured, and the doctors are dying.
Dying on the 7th Floor is a way of life. There are no reprieves or last minute commutations. The 7th Floor in Boston's famed Charles River Medical Center has 50 beds and a rotating community of patients whose ultimate fate is certain but whose experimental treatments have headlined medical textbooks.
The 7th Floor is a curious place; it's where those who should die are cured and those hunting for cures are dying.

About the Author

Woody Tanger is a Bostonian whose world-wide adventures have taken him across the globe and into the power centers of communications, medicine, and White House politics. Tanger was an ABC News White House intern and then ventured into broadcasting where he built a successful group of classical music radio stations. In 1992, Tanger became a confidant of doctors he met while working out at a gym nestled in the middle of Boston's famed medical center. The stories he heard were terrifying. Tanger's hobbies include travel, wine, photography, capitalism, aerobics, golf, and music. He is divorced and lives in a western suburb of Boston and keeps a town house in the Back Bay. Tanger says, "I've got more stories to tell and books to write." After that, he plans to return to Washington, D.C. as a citizen-politician
