Author David J. Nicks is a South Carolina native who works as an insulator, specializing in nuclear plants and fire protection systems. Although he has written other books in the past, The Day the Grid Went Down is the first that he’s had published. It was inspired by current events that in the author’s opinion, present the very real possibility of an impending economic collapse.
