Robert Wood and his wife of fifty-three years, Burma Lynn, live in Greenville, Texas. He is a retired fire chief. His three sons and their families live within an hour of his home, which allows his seven grandchildren to be his first story proof-hearers (since he writes his stories to be read aloud).

From an early age, Will Wood has been creating cartoons and characters. He has a twenty-year career as a creative professional and lives in McKinney, Texas, with his family of six.
