With the war in the west worsening, and the vast Torron Empire expanding, the Dark Traveler has set his sights on the mysterious Kra Space Empire. But before the mammoth Empire in the East can be investigated, the Traveler must soothe the raging engine which seeks to devour his very mind. A difficult task when you are beset on all sides by murderous lunatics, scheming androids, and well-meaning yokels.
As the dark past of the Noss haunts the Traveler, he must rage across unexplored galactic frontiers. New allies and enemies await in the shadows. New threats lurk around every corner. Old flames spring to life as the Traveler's mind begins to fracture. The worlds of Earth and Tantazol are perilously close to being consumed by the expanding darkness. He must keep the Great War from making its triumphant return, but in order to accomplish such a lofty goal, the Traveler must live to see the sun rise.
Can the Dark Traveler survive the mysterious assassins which hunt him still? What must he do in order to escape the fatality of the Dark Engine? Will his quest for freedom lead him down the shadowy path of mysticism?
