While being rudely escorted out of Wrigley Field the infamous curse was issued, not by Billy, but by Murphy the Goat. "Them Cubs ain't gonna win no more," snarled Murphy. Curse or not, until 2016 the Cubs never had the chance to become a winner again.In the spirit of 'Fair play,' seventy years later, Murphy the Goat, armed with the gift of speech is forced back to Earth to lift the curse. In exchange for lifting the curse all he wants is an apology for being thrown out of Wrigley. Needing earthly assistance, Murphy goes to the modern day Billy Goat Tavern in Chicago. There he meets a troubled young bartender named Daniel in hopes of enlisting his aid. From the start Murphy turns Daniel world upside down as they continually butt heads. Eventually, they work out their differences in order to arrive at the happy conclusion to this delightful and humorous tale.
