Notes From Your Bookseller

Drew Daywalt and Oliver Jeffers on their own are masters of their crafts. Then, June 27, 2013 happened. To the commoner, that day is known as The Day the Crayons Quit. Fast forward, and now millions of children have welcomed the crayons into their lives, and we couldn't imagine story time without them. The Crayons Trick or Treat brings back our favorites for a laugh-out-loud spooky-adjacent story that's perfect for any season.

The hilarious crayons from the #1 New York Times bestselling The Day The Crayons Quit are ready to celebrate Halloween!

The Crayons want to go trick-or-treating, but they're not sure what to say! In this humorous, small hardcover Halloween story, Purple Crayon teaches the rest of the crayon box the magic words to say when they ring their neighbors' doorbells. (Hint: It's NOT "Boo!")

Drew Daywalt grew up in a haunted house, but now lives in a Southern California home haunted only by his wife, two kids, and a German shepherd. He is the #1 bestselling author of The Day the Crayons Quit and The Day the Crayons Came Home, in addition to many other titles. Follow Drew at @DrewDaywalt.

Oliver Jeffers makes art and tells stories. His books include How to Catch a Star; Lost and Found, which was the recipient of the prestigious Nestle Children's Book Prize Gold Award in the UK and was later adapted into an award-winning animated film; and the New York Times bestsellers Here We Are, What We'll Build, Stuck, This Moose Belongs to Me, and Once Upon an Alphabet. He is also, of course, the illustrator of the #1 smash hit Crayons series, written by Drew Daywalt. His fine art is world-renowned and his dip-art exhibitions are much sought-after events. Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Oliver now splits his time between Belfast and Brooklyn, New York.
