Her mother had multiple men coming into their home, some of which molested her. She escapes an abusive mother for an older man whom she thought was her prince charming, but he turns out to be her dark Knight.

Elaine Simms is married to her wonderful husband for over twenty years. She has two adult children and a teenager. Simms enjoys reading and writing. Although this is her first book, she has a passion for telling and using illustrations to challenge and transform how people think. She believes that everyone has a story and has something to bring to the table. It does not matter who you are. She genuinely believes that your past life experiences can either shape or break you.
