Kari Whitesell is a retired elementary school teacher, including special education and most recently English Language Learners. She has a wonderful husband and 3 children who are now adults! Kari's Happy Place is wherever her family can be together. The other 50 weeks of the year, she likes to read, hike, take pictures, and watch college volleyball.
Kari has always loved reading. Books bring out every emotion, and expand our minds and perspectives. You can travel the world, without leaving your bedroom (of course whenever possible you should also travel the world).
Kari's first book, "The Cookie Burglar's Dilemma," was inspired by an actual hike in Yosemite National Park with her family when her children were little. Life's adventures prove that truth can be just as entertaining as fiction.
