Overview

The Conscious Road Home might be the last book on relationships a couple will ever need because it helps partners (together or individually) to develop self-awareness and self-mastery that gives each the inner strength and wisdom to handle troublesome issues. The reader will finally begin to understand why attached, committed partners think, feel, and behave the way they do. When problems and hurt feelings arise, readers will hopefully learn to consult their awakened hearts and minds instead of buying a new book or asking a friend for advice.

As the old saying goes, this book will not just provide you with fish; it will teach you how to fish so that you can solve your own conflicts and issues. Beneath the defenses and personal baggage of you and your partner are two people with loving, open hearts and minds. Yes, it's a challenge, but when you successfully deal with your baggage, you'll find that emotional intimacy, connection, and a truly authentic love are not far behind. The Conscious Road Home has been written and designed to help you meet that challenge.

About the Author

Marvin spent fourteen years as a psychotherapist focusing mainly on couple relationships and the struggles men have to be emotionally honest, aware, and present. He worked extensively with men in groups, and workshops around the country.

Marvin has appeared on the Oprah show, ABC’s 20/20 with Hugh Downs and Barbara Walters, PBS and BBC prime time specials, and has been featured in the New York Times Sunday Magazine. He also wrote the book Angry Men, Passive Men, published by Random House.

He has had a life-long interest in emotional and psychological healing as a way to a deeper experience of intimacy, connection, and love. Far too many couples miss out on the incredible power, security, and inner joy that love can bring simply because their emotional baggage gets in the way. In his book, The Conscious Road Home, Marvin provides a healing path through the labyrinth of emotional wounds, confusion, hurt feelings, resentments, and distorted beliefs that plague troubled couples.

Jenny has had a lifelong interest in relationships and emotional healing. She has been especially dedicated to discovering processes that create true and lasting change. Her interests in spirituality and psychology have spurred her to take full advantage of many opportunities to explore how true emotional healing is made possible, with a special emphasis on how healing can happen in a relationship.
