About the Author

Jan Kjaerstad is a Norwegian author and a theology graduate from MF Norwegian School of Theology and the University of Oslo. He is known as one of the leading and most original writers in contemporary Norwegian literature and has received a number of prizes, including the Nordic Council Literature Prize which he was awarded for his 1999 work, Oppdageren (The Discoverer).
