THE COMPLETE SCOOP COMICS PREMIUM COLOR EDITION: COLLECTING ISSUES #165-171 RETRO COMIC REPRINTS #337
THE COMPLETE SCOOP COMICS collects SCOOP COMICS issues #1-3 and #8. SCOOP COMICS had a
fascinating and convoluted publishing history. The series began in November of 1941 and was
published by Chesler/Dynamic. SCOOP COMICS lasted a total of three issues with the final issue
having a cover date of March 1942. The numbering of SCOOP COMICS transferred to a new title,
YANKEE COMICS, published by a different company called Remington Morse. YANKEE COMICS would
last four issues before reverting back to the title SCOOP COMICS for the solitary issue #8. It was
retitled SNAP COMICS for issue #9, JEST COMICS for issues #10 and 11, KAYO COMICS for issue #12
and then (possibly) CARNIVAL COMICS for #13 followed by RED SEAL COMICS for issues #14 to 18. RED
SEAL COMICS then switched companies from Remington Morse to Superior in June of 1947 for issues
#19 to 22 and then skips to #30 before finally concluding. There was a second YANKEE COMICS series
published by Chesler/Dynamic, but that's a goes down a different rabbit hole.
SCOOP COMICS features the exciting adventures of Rocketman with art by Al Plastino and Art
PinaJian, tales of magic and fantasy starring Mother Hubbard with art by Bill Madden, intrigue and
espionage with the Master Key crafted by the amazing Charles Sultan, science fiction with Dan
Hastings, and how can you have SCOOP COMICS without the crime-busting escapades of Scoop Daley,
the two-fisted corespendent. THE COMPLETE SCOOP COMICS is an astonishing collection of dynamic
characters and electrifying action.
