Overview

Ruth and Alice DeVere and their father struggle to make ends meet while Mr. DeVere seeks another theatrical engagement. A friend's suggestion that Mr. DeVere work as an actor in the moving pictures is considered vulgar -- but when the family is served an eviction notice Mr. DeVere accepts work in the 'movies'.
