A member of the Dog Writers Association of America, Cat Writers Association of America, Association of Journalists and Authors, and other writing organizations, Liz Palika has won numerous awards. Save That Dog! won a Maxwell Award and the first ASPCA Pet Overpopulation Answers Award presented by Roger Caras. Her dog training book, All Dogs Need Some Training, was listed in Pet Life magazine as one of the ten best dog training books available today. Her magazine articles have been published in Dog Fancy, Dog World, AKC Gazette, Pet Business, Newsweek, The Saturday Evening Post, and other magazines. She is also the author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Dachshunds and The Complete Idiot's Guide to Yorkshire Terriers.
