The Complete Guide to Airedale Terriers was written by professional dog trainer Andrea Berman whose own Airedale, Murphy, arrived as an impish puppy with a penchant for mischief, a passion for excavating the garden, and a ravenous appetite for socks, sofas, and oriental carpets. With gentle consistency, positive reinforcement, and a thorough understanding of the Airedale's personality, Murphy's training guided her toward a new direction as she became a sweet and loving therapy dog who comforted hospital patients and nursing home residents, and brought joy to all she met.

If there's an Airedale Terrier in your future, and we sincerely hope there is, this book will help prepare you to emBARK on the journey of a lifetime - a journey that will bring you laughter, tail wags, an unending supply of sloppy kisses, and countless treasured memories. Get ready for your Airedale Adventure!

About the Author

Andrea Berman was born and raised in Chelsea, Massachusetts, and still lives nearby in Ipswitch. A lifelong animal lover, Andrea’s life changed when she met Murphy, her first Airedale Terrier. Murphy was sweet, but young and stubborn. He was big on attitude but small on etiquette. Help was needed. Hiring and working diligently alongside a dog obedience trainer gave Andrea a new perspective, and later, she was invited to apprentice. Soon, her new career as a professional dog trainer had begun.

With a lifelong passion for journalism, Andrea also simultaneously authored a newspaper column, writing in a humorous, no-holds-barred, shoot-from-the-hip style. She now blends her dog training experience with her journalistic skills in The Complete Guide to Airedale Terriers - a straightforward, common-sense, sometimes comical, but always practical, book designed to help any new owner successfully raise their Airedale from puppy to old age.
