About the Author

Over a long, prolific career, AGATHA CHRISTIE (1890-1976) created two iconic characters in the mystery genre ─ Hercule Poirot and Miss Jane Marple ─ and wrote eighty crime novels and collections of stories, nineteen plays, six novels written as Mary Westmacott, an autobiography and a memoir, "Come, Tell Me How You Live." Her play, "The Mousetrap," is the longest-running play in history. Christie was awarded the CBE in 1956 and made a Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire, in 1971.

BILL PESCHEL is a longtime journalist and mystery fan whose Wimsey Annotations at www.planetpeschel.com continues to delight and enlighten fans of Dorothy L. Sayers. He is the author of "Writers Gone Wild: The Feuds, Frolics and Follies of Literature's Great Adventurers, Drunkards, Lovers, Iconoclasts and Misanthropes" (Penguin Books) and "The Complete, Annotated Whose Body?"
