Both went on to achieve their dreams and find success in life. When Wynn's sister dies, they are reunited in order to care for his sister's baby. Though it starts as a business relationship with Felicity serving as a nanny, Wynn and Felicity quickly learn that their past attraction won't stay in the past. VERDICT Readers might wish that Maynard (Staking a Claim) had focused more on building the emotional connection between her characters, instead of bridging the emotional gaps with a series of increasingly intense outside incidents, to but they ultimately work as catalysts for the characters to acknowledge the full depth of their feelings.—Brigid Black
