About the Author

James Leo Garrett Jr. is a distinguished professor of theology, emeritus, at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author of a major two-volume work, Systematic Theology: Biblical, Historical, and Evangelical, the monumental Baptist Theology: A Four-Century Study, and numerous other books and articles. He currently lives in Nacogdoches, Texas.

James Leo Garrett Jr. is Distinguished Professor of Theology, Emeritus, at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is the author of a major two-volume work, Systematic Theology: Biblical, Historical, and Evangelical (Wipf&Stock, 2014), the monumental Baptist Theology: A Four-Century Study (2009), and numerous other books and articles. He currently lives in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Wyman Richardson is the pastor of Central Baptist Church in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He is the author of Walking Together: A Congregational Reflection on Biblical Church Discipline (Wipf & Stock) and On Earth As It Is In Heaven: Reclaiming Regenerate Church Membership (Founders Press). He is the editor of the eight volume The Collected Writings of James Leo Garrett Jr., 1950-2015 (Resource). He has published articles in Leadership, the Southwestern Journal of Theology, the 9Marks Journal, Founders Journal, and The Chesterton Review. He and his wife, Roni Richardson, have one daughter, Hannah.

David S. Dockery is President of Union University in Jackson, Tennessee and a member of the board of 'Christianity Today, where he also serves as a consulting editor. In 2002, Dockery was named a Distinguished Alumnus of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. He is a graduate of the University of Alabama-Birmingham, Grace Theological Seminary, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Texas Christian University, and he holds a Ph.D. in Humanities from the University of Texas system. Dockery's other books include 'Seeking the Kingdom: The Sermon on the Mount Made Practical' (co-authored with David E. Garland), 'Basic Christian Beliefs', and the 'Holman Guide to Interpreting the Bible' (co-authored with George Guthrie).
