About the Author

Adaptable by nature, Michael Reisel started Redwood Financial Strategies as an evolution of the financial advisory experience. Mike's clients experience a financial advisory relationship very different from any they've had before.

Inspired by the lack of financial stability and financial-related stress he observed, Mike founded Redwood Financial Strategies knowing that there is a better way. Most people haven't been educated on how to manage their finances because it's not part of the educational curriculum in most schools. Mike believes that financial clarity and success can come from working with an advisor with teaching and management experience that inspires confidence. Witnessing the changes that come when clients pay off their debts, protect their families and invest for their future, Mike celebrates their ability to achieve financial freedom. One of his most rewarding experiences is giving what he's received back to others.

In his financial advisory practice, Mike enjoys the problem-solving aspects of working with clients and their finances. Mike's passion is helping others succeed financially. His moral code and status as a fiduciary keep him focused on doing what is right for each client. His drive comes from wanting to be better and improving his treasured client relationships. Thoughtful and committed, Mike considers himself an educator, manager and financial advisor. He has more than a decade of experience in multiple financial endeavors outside of financial advising and investment management. He derives great satisfaction from achieving results for his clients and building strong client relationships.

Because Mike caps the number of relationships in his business, that gives him plenty of time for his current clients, who don't have to worry that he is stretched too thin. Mike listens, reviews, suggests and acts without pushing products. He acts as his clients' financial concierge and is happy when they achieve their financial goals. Mike earned a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. He is Advanced Silver Sandler Certified and holds his Series 6, 63, 65, 7 and 24 securities licenses.

Outside of the office, Mike is devoted to his family — his wife Mindy and their two children, Hayden and Cole as well as their two dogs, Molly and Cooper. They love exploring the great outdoors while hiking, hunting and boating. Traveling is also a big part of the Reisel routine because they want to see as much of this great planet as possible.
