Dr. Michael J. Lewandowski is a licensed clinical health psychologist and is president of Pain Assessment Resources. He has extensive training and experience in the application of psychological principles to problems in medicine. Since completing his Ph.D. in 1990, he has worked exclusively with individuals suffering from chronic medical conditions.

He was principle developer of the Behavioral Assessment of Pain – Medical Stability Quick Screen (BAP-MSQS) and co-developer of the Behavioral Assessment of Pain questionnaire (BAP) both of which are utilized in pain management programs around the world. He created, Integrated Healthcare Resources, an interdisciplinary healthcare organization that provides comprehensive pain management, work hardening and functional restoration programs for injured workers and persons with chronic pain conditions.

Dr. Lewandowski was the Secretary/Treasurer of the Board of Psychological Examiners for the State of Nevada (2003 – 2006), is a Diplomat in the American Academy of Pain Management, a member of the American Pain Society and is a member of the American Psychological Association.

Dr. Lewandowski has recently published (New Harbinger Publishing) a workbook for people suffering from chronic pain called The Chronic Pain Care Workbook: A Self-Treatment Approach to Pain Relief using the Behavioral Assessment of Pain Questionnaire. He has also contributed a chapter on managing “Motor Vehicle Crash sequelae in the Primary Care Setting”, in the text, Motor Vehicle Collisons: Medical, Psychological, and Legal Consequences by Melanie Duckworth, Tony Iezzi and William O’Donohue (2008).
