Overview

The city judge's son a boy Vasia looks in the chapel near the old castle and finds two children there. These are Valek and his four years old little sister Marusia, they live in a dark damp cave together with their father - the social outcast Tibyrtiy Drab. Vasia feels pity for the poor children and they become friends, he tries to help them in any of the possible ways.
