Many of us have found ourselves at a crossroads, that conscious moment when we stop living in the rat race to ask ourselves what we want to live for. After graduating from the University of California, Riverside; integrating myself in different parts of the world, and purchasing my first home I reflected. Analyzing myself, the world around me, what I stood for, stood against, why ? why not? And it all left me where I began; The Cherry & The Raven.


I wrote this book as a tribute to my Maternal Grandfather and Paternal Great-grandmother; the ones who gifted me with the tools for life, and nurtured my heart to express love. Above attaining financial stability, acceptance from peers, acceptance from the divine, and romantic love; a person simply wants to find peace. The comfort of being in their own skin and enjoying that skin, to look through a unique penetrative lens and discover joy regardless of the world around them. To celebrate the rain when it’s storming for every precious raindrop that falls, and bathe in the rays when the sun’s ablaze with equal enjoyment and understanding that both are blessings.
