About the Author

I have worked in healthcare for over 30 years. I started out as a candy striper. Yes that was really a thing. I was 12 years old and bebopped around the hospital in my little pinstriped apron passing out water and juice to the patients. At the age of 16 I earned my CNA certificate and was pretty proud of myself. 6 years later, I had my associates degree in nursing. A couple of years ago I upgraded to a masters in nursing. I have had a lot of interesting jobs over the years. I am currently a PACU nurse, a circulator nurse and a college professor. I decided to write a few study guide books to help nurses who are planning on becoming certified in their chosen specialties. It was either that or write about the other thing I know a lot about, hiking. But, I decided no one wanted to read about me wandering around the woods, so here we are. I hope my books help some of you, even in a small way, to design a study plan for your test prep. All my example questions are made up by me so you won't see them anywhere else. Good luck and happy hiking! Or studying. You do you.
