The Cat Who Went to the Country
THE CAT WHO WENT TO THE COUNTRY tells the story of Zanzibar, a prizewinning show cat who lives with Professor Annabelle Hogan in a big city apartment. Professor Hogan has to go away for three weeks, so she arranges for Zanzibar to stay with her niece on a farm in the country. Zanzibar is very stuck on himself and very ignorant of country ways. He looks down on farm animals, but he doesn’t know how to handle himself in a rural setting. A series of hair-raising adventures teaches him a bit of humility.

This sweet tale makes perfect reading for kids ages 6-9, and a wonderful bedtime story for younger children. Young readers won’t be disappointed.
