Lynne Hinton is the New York Times bestselling author of Friendship Cake and Pie Town. A native of North Carolina, she received her undergraduate degree from the U.N.C. at Greensboro and her Masters of Divinity degree from Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, California. Taking a leave of absence from the convent, she is again working with her father on another case when she learns that her biological sister, Dorisanne, is missing. Sister Eve heads to Las Vegas to investigate. Is Dorisanne's disappearance self-imposed or is her husband involved? VERDICT This sophomore series outing is a witty and delightful cozy that will enthrall fans of Gay Hendricks and Tinker Lindsay's "Tenzig Norbu" series about a Tibetan monk-turned-detective as well as readers who appreciate a different type of sleuth and a book with a faith-based flavor.
