About the Author

I was born in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan on October 10th 1952. That part of the world is flat as a pancake with not an ocean in sight. Nevertheless, I have always loved the sea. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of an old television series, called Sea Hunt, starring Lloyd Bridges.
Throughout my life I have been lucky enough to work on and in the oceans of the world and to see many countries around the globe. Many of the locations I write about I have visited personally and I try to give an accurate description of the land, the geography, and the people.
I enjoy writing as much as I enjoy anything. Thanks for reading these books; they are written with nothing but adventure and enjoyment in mind. My three daughters seem to like them, but maybe they are just trying to humor their dad.
My great loves in this life are my family, my friends, scuba diving, skiing, and paragliding. However after a bad paragliding accident a few years ago I hung up my wings, so now I write. I broke a few bones, but I have recovered enough to continue diving and skiing. My greatest assets in life are my friends, many of whom I have written about. I hope you enjoy these books
