About the Author

Karen Molenaar Terrell enjoys tromping around in the mountains (she's made it to the summits of Rainier, Baker, Adams, and Hood), gardening, singing (yes, she is one of those wedding singers - stop laughing), and using her writing and photography to share with others the beauty and joy she sees around her. She's the author of *Finding the Rainbows: Lessons from Dad and Mom*, *A Poem Lives On My Windowsill*, and *The Madcap Christian Scientist* series. Her stories have appeared in Newsweek, The Christian Science Monitor, and Pack and Paddle Magazine, and her photos are featured in the spring 2014 edition of the Bellingham Review, and the April/May 2017 issue of Mother Earth News.

Karen graduated from Washington State University where she studied history and education. She holds an MS in *Literacy in the Content Areas: Grades 6-12* from Walden University. She teaches at an alternative high school. She has two grown sons, and lives with her husband, Scott, in the Pacific Northwest.
