Max spent the first sixteen years of his life growing up faster than he should have, but with his best friend Del by his side, even the biggest hardships are manageable. Max and Del do everything together. They buy the same bikes, wear the same clothes and share all their dreams, secrets, and fears. They also fall for the same girl, and when she tests the limits of their friendship, a heartbreaking betrayal forces Max to see his future as it really is. He realizes that his blue-collar upbringing will only provide a life of limitations, and wanting more, Max sets out to form a plan: he must find a way to escape his working-class destiny and search for something greater.
