About the Author

Juanita C. Orme was born in Montgomery, Alabama. She served in the United States Air Force, where she received the Air Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service. Orme has a bachelor’s degree from Troy University, and she was a volunteer at the Adult Literacy Council of Montgomery, Department of Veteran Affairs.
She aims to inspire children all over the world and hopes to encourage them to believe that they can make it no matter what. In her own words, she says, “Choose people who are doing positive things and stay grounded in positive venues. You will get knocked down, but you have to remember that you have to pick yourself up. Conceive, Perceive, and Achieve! YOU WILL MAKE IT!”
