Overview

The Blue Rose That Lives Within is an emotional journey of my life and all the struggles and hardships I have endured, being a single parent, to two of the most wonderful children, but also still searching for the one-true man to make my life whole is and obstacle I face everyday. People never realize that just by looking in someone's eyes what that says about them, and the walls around their heart they build to keep from being hurt by the scars that they carry daily of the reminders of love gone bad. Like me, their are other people in the world, who have had their lives torn apart, but they to, took a stand in life to raise their children, salvage their lives, and come out of it still believing in hope and God. Life isnt easy, and it never meets any of us half-way, but do we fear the unknown and just let it consume us...or do we realize life is all about chance and circumstance, I cannot answer for you, but for me, it is my time, not to sit it out, but dance.

Chapter One

    A river runs through me

    It carries me home
    To that eternal river
    Where I'm not alone

Seeing the ones that rode before me
Back when they were young and free
    I will miss you all
    The friends I leave behind
But, live life to the fullest
    As it isn't your time

    God called my name
    He carried me home
    To the eternal river
    Where I'm not alone

    Early in life
    I had to die
    I don't know
    The exact reasons why

    God I figure just needed
    Someone to ride
    A new River Angel
    Here by his side

    As I now ride
    With God
    Everyday
    Doing what I loved
    Just in a different way

    His river runs through me
    He carried me home
    Fishing for Jesus
    I'm never alone....

    A Second Glance

He doesn't talk like we used to do
He leaves my mind to speculate
If what we shared was true
    Little sayings he said
    Enter my mind
What could I have done differently
If we had taken more time

One day I lost my thoughts
Like the wind they left my mind
But, he said I would catch it again
    Just give it time

    He somehow knew
    But, he never said
    Sometimes, I wish
    I could enter his head

To walk around in his thoughts
In the event of a day
    Just to grasp the meaning
    Of the words
    He'd never say

    Just to hear his voice
    Brings tears to my eyes
As if he could have been mine

Why didn't he feel an attraction
    I will never know
    But in my heart
I will never let him go

He said I was and amazing woman
    I had and amazing mind
    But, although compatible
    He left me behind

    One sided attractions
    We experience each day
    One is attracted
    The other
    Just another day

    There might have been potential
But, he never took a second glance
    Blame it on reality
    Circumstances, where they lay
He still crosses through my mind
    Always, every day....

    Everyday Smile

    It's almost morning
    You are fast asleep
    I'm wide awake
    Odd hours that I keep

I could sit and look at you
    Type the night away
Only to drift off to sleep
    Just to think of you
    Another day

Why I am drawn to you
    I don't quite understand
    You are a mere stranger
    Straw hat, in your hand

    I carry a Blue Rose
    Intertwined eternally
One day to grasp your broken heart
    Hold it so carefully

    Promise you
    A forever
    This, I truly can
    God broke the mold
    Creating you
    A man

    Only time will tell
    Where hope never ends
    We could wind up lovers
    Or, be only friends

    No one but God knows
    Where we go from here
All I know is, you draw me near

    This great feeling
You share in your sweet way
Has brought to me a smile
    I carry everyday

    Amazing Grace

There is not one word to describe you
    As many come to mind
    More than a dictionary
    More than fill my mind
    All of them
    Uniquely placed
    Would still bring me back
    To this very place

If I could fit in your pocket
I'd sit next to your heart
    I could feel every beat
    That's where it starts

    I'd hop on your shoulders
Ride with you, like the wind
    Only to grasp hold
    To never fall again

If I could grasp your hair
Only to look into your eyes
It would be a stolen moment
    Totally mesmerized

If I could kiss your lips
    Tenderly and slow
I'd promise to always be there
    Never to let go

    As I feel your presence
    I'm taken to a place
    Somewhere, Amazing
    Blessed by Grace....

    Beauty that lies within

If You ... think.... You can ... pursue the possibilities....
entertain the ideas.... share the unique qualities.

.... never let go of your dreams.... inspire those that life is
heaven on earth ... available for the grasping

....just by taking your hand.... explore the magnitude ... of
the amazing grace ....You will find....

    the beauty that lies within....!

    Big Brown Eyes

In your Big Brown Eyes, I see
A strong man staring back at me
    Lots of heartache
    Lots of pain
    Tears from your eyes
    That fell like rain

    Life that conquered
    When, you took the fall
This is why, you built the wall
Not wanting to experience life within
    No strings
    No commitment
    Easier to say
The heart, then doesn't get in the way

Where no strings, shelters the heart
No feelings keep it from being torn apart
    Why I do not understand
As one, would be lucky, to find such a man

You seem to have a heart of gold
But, fear won't let it now unfold
    Peace and tranquility
    Out of grasp
    Or, finding in someone
    A love to last

    That one day will disappear
    You might glance
    As I appear

Standing with a chisel in my hand
    To break down the wall
    Surrounding the man

    Those Big Brown Eyes
    Need setting free
    To grasp, what's in them
    I do see

    Black Chrome

    The roar and the rumble
    Black polished chrome
    The long-haired biker
    Far from home

    Searching for wild hair
    Mystique of her eyes
    Red platform heels
    Was it all a disguise

    Eating and talking
    About life
    Like old friends
    What is he thinking
    She wonders within

    One never knows
    A chance
    When we take
    The outcome
    We beat the odds
    To a twist of fate

    Now leaving
    They share a kiss
    Would he stay
    To enjoy the bliss

    Out in the moonlight
    They go for a ride
    The roar of the thunder
    One could not hide
    He, too, now wonders
    What she feels inside

    In the morning
    They share a kiss
    Same as the night one
    Filled with pure bliss

    Standing in the driveway
    She waves, a good-bye
    Wondering if
    She caught his eye

    Will he remember
    The night that they shared
    Was it just conversation
    To pacify being there

    The roar and the rumble
    Black polished chrome
    The long-haired biker
    Is now headed home

    Only in time
    Will anyone know
    Whether they twisted fate
    Or let each other go
    As, in life
    There is
    Beginning
    Middle
    And, end

    Where the heart leads
    The mystique in her eyes
    Will he intrigue
    What's hidden inside

    Time can only relate
    To a start
    Where this goes
    An affair of the heart

    Taken slowly
    As now it begins
    Watch it unfold
    Beginning
    Middle
    An End....

    Eyes On You

    Caught in a trance
    Real or circumstance
    The eyes have a captivating
    Glass like romance
    Wicked to the atmosphere
    Mystifying they appear
    The sparkle intensifies
    Draws one soul near

    Like a spider
    Who catches curious flies
The eyes capture that of deception
    And lies

    Spinning a web
    To overcome the worthless deceit
    The ones who
    Bring havoc
    Destroy once sweet

    The pure
    Naïve qualities
    Of the unseen
    With hatred
    The wrath
    One sided
    And mean

    Leaves nothing but destruction
    Seen thru tearful despise
    Once happiness leaves
    Scars fill the eyes

    Scorn an anguish
    Harbor the soul
    Leaving some eyes
    Stories untold

    The resentment
    The devastation
    Eyes tell where they've been
    The painful expression
    Of what lies within

    Seeing all evil
    The wrath anticipates
    Closing the beauty
    With loss to relate
    Sometimes a mere stranger
    Can captivate
    And send
    A thoughtful
    Sensual
    Feeling
    Held deep inside
    To bring back
    A sparkle
    To the once
    Blackened eyes

    Then you are once again
    Caught in the trance
    The eyes again
    Blossom
    With a pure
    Heavenly
    Romance

    Gleaming
    Astonishing
    Eyes to behold
    A life-long relationship
    Through her and your soul

Thank God for your new found
    Wishful first glance
    That altered your life
When you gave her a chance

    The eyes mesmerized you
    They opened your soul
    To that forever and always
    Promise
    To have and to hold
    Forsaking all others
    Taking the hand
    Staring into the eyes
    Of the two
    Hand and hand

    Knowing the outcome
    As you enter as one
    Blessed by Jesus
    God's only Son

    Who delivers
    From evil
    The wrath and the scorn
    Once again
    The eyes
    Are pure and reborn

    Joined hand and hand
    To journey through life
    The evolution of Love
    Shared by husband and wife

    To experience
    That pleasure
    Stacy Cook-Cooper
    To find again
    Desire
    Brings that sparkle
    Like an Angelic choir

    The eyes transform
    Like that of a dove
    Pure and heavenly
    Bound together
    With Love

    Trances trace romances
    Deep within ones soul
    As my eyes
    Trace your eyes
    Searching within
    Recognizing the longing
    To recapture again

    The longing to again
    Stare in your eyes
    Kissing you tenderly
    Passionately without sin

    Carrying deep in my heart
    Your eyes
    Always ... within

    My eyes
    In your eyes
    Always, your friend....

    Crimes of Passion

    Searching a face
    Day after day
    In a game of monogyny
    That we play

    Longing for passion
    Hidden within
    We leave in the night
    To be taken in

    Dressed in costume
    Wild ambitious hair
    Burlesque make-up
    Lips of red
    Fish net hose
    Platform heels
    Fantasy
    Or reality
    We put on a show

    Attention to detail
    Will lure them your way
    What crimes for passion
    Will one have to pay

    Never to let the heart
    Utter a word
    As most people would judge
    With names that might say
    In monogyny
    Only two players
    Will play

    Reality
    Is there for the taking
    In crimes of passion
    No rules you're breaking
    No heart
    No feeling
    No love
    Just lust
    Shared between
    The two of us

    Two free spirits
    Joined in time
    Tick tock of the clock
    You leave behind
    Early morning business attire
    To prestigious jobs
    Where no one knows

    Behind closed doors
    What lies within
    Crimes of passion
    Between two friends

    Searching a face
    Day after day
    In the game of monogyny
    That we play

    Devil's Iron-Horse

    On a devil's iron horse
    He rides like the wind
    Miles from no where
    What he has bottled within

    On a iron horse
    He rides
    He feels free
    Unleashing the anguish
    Pain of uncertainties

    Life that destructed
    Tormented dismay
    Dance in his mind
    Reviving that day

    Like that of a wildfire
    One tiny spark
    Ripped through his world
    Tore it apart

    Burned and now broken
    A heartache inside
    Lessons learned
    Explosions of anger
    Release, as he rides

    On a dark asphalt highway
    Emulsified, now his soul
    Free to experience
    A cleansing
    To behold

    What once had been broken
    Chains no more will bind
    For he found the courage
    On that midnight ride

    Once smothered
    By pain
    The spirit
    Enters his veins
    Untamed and unbroken
    He has taken the reigns

    Reborn in the moment
    Regaining his pride
    The devil's iron horse
    Returns from a ride....
