Overview

Once Billy gets wind of the silly little mnemonic Mary’s mother created, Mary is finally cured of her "horrible" habit. However, now the universe has unleashed its wrath, and it seems that Mary Fountain is doomed to leave an indelible trail of destruction in her wake.

The Bloody Book Bag Ordeal, will leave middle schoolers laughing out loud. This work of fiction winds its way around a lighthearted plot that is filled with humorous twists and quirky turns. The Bloody Book Bag Ordeal centers around Mary and her sidekick Gabby. These two pals muddle their way through one pickle after another to find they aren’t alone. Anyone can cause a disaster every now and then.

The Bloody Book Bag Ordeal was partially inspired by a paper C. Maguire wrote while attending college. She received an A on the paper and her professor commented, “This is the funniest paper I have ever read.”

About the Author

C. Maguire was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia. She attended parochial school from k-12th grade. She earned her BBA at the University of Georgia and her Masters at Georgia State University. Shortly after graduating from Georgia State, she moved to Manhattan and currently resides in the South.

C. Maguire does have a southern accent; however she does not have a drawl. On many occassions she has been accused of speaking "southern yankese" due to her rapidity of speech. She has always been a fast talker, one who talks fast, not to be confused with one who swindles. This is in no way, shape, or form the result of having lived in the Big Apple.
