About the Author

Robert Waldeck has been a lawyer, a librarian and a historian. He lives in Washington, DC. A graduate of the Catholic University School of Law, he also holds a master’s degree in European history. In October and November 2019, he provided critical analysis of the role of Ukrainian politics in the impeachment scandal for articles in two national newspapers.

Casey Michael is a writer, analyst, and investigative journalist on topics ranging from kleptocracy and grand corruption to developments in the post-Soviet space and Western relations therein. His next book,—AMERICAN KLEPTOCRACY— from St. Martin’s Press, will be out in 2021
