About the Author

A Marine Corps Veteran with a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy, B Hughes-Millman, worked as an Executive Director for the Screen Actors Guild when she started writing Darkest Frost, the first book in The Black Casket Legacy. It was an unforgettable dream that led to the development of Darkest Frost 6 years later.

She soon began developing a television series based on the books with a good friend and seasoned television Producer/Director. After some deep soul-searching, she decided to focus her energy on publishing her books before going further on developing a series or feature film based on the novels.

When her daughter passed away in 2008, she continued rewriting and revising to ensure the novels her daughter loved would someday be published. Darkest Frost was finally published in April of 2012.

Darkest Frost has been revered for its suspense with such comments as "difficult to put down." Crimson Tears is a favorite of many with even more layers of suspense as well as inspiring deep emotional involvement in the journey of the two main characters, Dean and Lyn.
