The Paranormal World is a realm existing beside our own and is home to two clans of creatures, Daemons and Mystics. This collection of three short novels shows us lives through the eyes of a group of paranormal descendents trying to coexist in the Human World. In the first, The Beginning, Ezra Brody, a young paranormally gifted mage, is recruited by others of her kind and is thrown into a twisted scheme led by the radical group of paranormals known as Reign; a group that believes that they are gods to the mere mortals of mankind and have devised a plot to bring the world to its knees. It is up to Ezra and her friends to unravel their plans before it is too late and the Human World is lost to chaos. In the second, Goodnight Visions, a dead Mystic is resurrected but her presence disrupts earth’s natural balance of power. Three mysterious paranormals are on a mission to send her back to the grave while the narrator, Foresite, and her associates struggle with their rapidly growing powers. In the last, Beyond the Darkness, Reign is in search of an ancient relic for reasons unknown. When vampire Taigen O’Reardan helps to confiscate a clue as to the artifacts’ whereabouts it leads to open war between the two paranormal groups. Not only must Taigen battle his foes but his own internal conflicts as he develops deeper feelings for a member of the opposition.
