An 11-track collection, this is far short of being a "best-of" from Woody Herman's Herd, but there are some prime cuts. The beautiful "Tenderly," upbeat classics like "Woodchopper's Ball," "Apple Honey," and the group jive bop singing of George Wallington's "Lemon Drop" are all within the realm of Herman's best.
