About the Author

Stan and Jan Berenstain introduced the first Berenstain Bears books in 1962. Mike Berenstain grew up watching his parents work together to write about and draw these lovable bears. Eventually he started drawing and writing about them too. Though Stan died in 2005 and Jan in 2012, Mike continues to create the delightful Bear adventures from his studio in Pennsylvania, in an area that looks much like the sunny dirt road deep in Bear Country.

"Sure, we know that," said Brother.

"Sure," said Sister.

"Sure!" said Honey.

"Oh?" said Missus Ursula. "Then why don't you tell the class all about Easter?"

"Well," said Brother, scratching his head, "it's about stuff in the Bible."

"Stuff!" nodded Honey.

"Hmmm," said Missus Ursula. "Maybe it's time we learned a little more about this 'Bible stuff.' It happens that the cubs in the next class are about to put on a play called The Easter Story."

"Can we watch, Missus Ursula?" the cubs asked.

"Just what I was about to suggest," she said.
