About the Author

Chef Robert "BB" Brunet is an 8th generation Cajun from Houma, Louisiana. The 10th of 13 children born to Mrs. Pearl Marie Theriot-Brunet, Chef Brunet assumed the name "BB" after being the "baby brother" in his family, at least for a short time. After spending 30 years in the Information Technology business, Chef BB, at the age of 50, started a small in-home dinner party service in Colorado Springs named "The House Chef" in 2010. Several years later, he and his wife Becky opened their first restaurant and named it Momma Pearl's Cajun Kitchen, after the Chef's mother of course. The restaurant has seen consistent growth throughout the years and in 2020 they relocated to their new, and current location which tripled the size of their operations. Over the past 13 years, Chef BB and his team have overcome insurmountable challenges and continue to do so, but with a "Use What You Got" attitude and the loyal support of their customers and guests, their restaurant continues to thrive.
