Years later, he would find himself in another battle, COVID. Burns almost passed away but found the strength to fight and become an advocate for his health. He found joy while running track and on the football field. While in the Navy, he traveled the world and enjoyed all of its beauty in his young life.
There is a special tribute to those who lost their lives and never got a chance to say goodbye.

About the Author

Eric Burns was born and raised in Tyler, Texas. He served and protected his country in the U. S. Navy and fought in the Gulf War, where he received the Shellback Award. He traveled the world seven times with the U. S. Navy. God protected Burns while at war and years later, from COVID, during the Texas Rolling Blackout. Burns had to advocate for himself when he knew his body wasn't well enough to be sent home from the hospital. He lived to tell of this harrowing ordeal and the after-effects of the illness.
