In THE AVENGING ANGEL the central protagonist, Amanda Manning, despite a wonderful marriage and children, resumes an obsessive affair with the very handsome ghost William, despite his very bad character. Her obsession destroys her marriage and poisons her relationship with her children. In the end, she only has William. He leads her on a very degrading path to destruction. The ending is really not what one would expect at all.
