An ancient group of rich and powerful men enjoy wealth and power beyond the level of most countries. This group of less than two hundred men have a pact with Satan. Satan has promised them the world of the future where they will live like gods in a recreated Garden of Eden. To achieve this goal, they have developed The System with an objective of a single world government or New World Order. As part of this New World Order, the human population or feeders will be culled to a level in harmony with nature.
The Elite and their governing body, the six members of the Inner Circle control or influence through The System most businesses, banks, media, and governments. The Elite receive their objectives direct from Satan and devise the tactics to achieve those objectives. War, famine, and suffering are the direct results of The Elites tactics. People are an overly abundant resource used for their ritualistic sacrifices and amusement.
Angelo Salvatore grows up in the shadow of this unrealized dystopia created by The Elite. He overcomes through sheer will and strength of character the shadow of poverty and drug abuse created by The System. As Angelo progresses through life and becomes more successful, he moves closer to and will eventually cross paths with Billy Ringwald. Billy is a rising star within a powerful family of The Elite.
