Overview

The Art Experiment (and other stories) presents 12 short works of off-beat fiction based primarily in Las Vegas, although the title story takes place in Los Angeles. These stories emanate an "underground" contemporary sensibility bordering on the horrific and strange. They portray, via some low-life or well-heeled characters,the more corrupt side of Sin City, off the Strip and on, as well as more respectable venues that leave the characters in less than a state of grace, but in a sometimes mindless one where the irrational becomes a force to be reckoned with...
The Art Experiment stories compose a fictional work based on some factual events in our common history.

About the Author

Peter Magliocco writes from Las Vegas, Nevada, where he's edited the lit-zine ART:MAG FOR 25 years under the banner of Limited Editions Press. He's had poetry and fiction in many places, both online and in print, such as THUNDER SANDWICH, UNLIKELY STORIES, GOLD DUST, LITERARY HOUSE REVIEW, and elsewhere. An original story of his is collected in the 2010 anthology, DEAD NEON: TALES OF NEAR-FUTURE LAS VEGAS, from University of Nevada Press.
