Revelation 14. 6-11 says 3 angels from Heaven will show up sooner or later to lead people to Heaven. We're also waiting for the Antichrist and the False Prophet to show up.
2 Thess 2 says the Antichrist shows up prior to the Second Coming of Christ. 2 Thess 2 also mentions strong delusion. If you are convinced your church is the True Church which leads people to Heaven, but if in actuality your church is a false church which drags people down to eternal perdition, then you are suffering from a strong delusion.
1 Corinthians 11. 27-29 says you drink damnation into your soul if you celebrate Holy Communion in an unworthy manner. For century after century various churches gave the bread and the wine to evil kings, to evil nobles, to evil priests...

Acts 20. 29-31 and 1 Timothy 4. 1-4 are prophesies saying Christianity will be corrupted by evil men. One of the most obvious ways that Christianity has been corrupted is seen in the fact that though the scriptures are clear there is only one True Church, nevertheless Christians have divided and subdivided Christianity into thousands of separate denominations.
Perhaps when angels from Hell and angels from Heaven start showing up these thousands of separate churches will be reduced to 2 churches, one being an infernal church led by the Antichrist which leads people to Hell, and the other Church, led by the 3 angels from Heaven mentioned in Revelation 14. 6-11, will be none other than God's True Church.
Revelation 20.12-15 say you get tossed into the lake of fire at the Last Judgment if your name is not written in the Book of Life. So, you want to be in the True Church! You want to make sure your name is written in the Book of Life!
You have to admit it would be easier to find the True Church if you only had to search for her among 2 churches and not among thousands of separate denominations / thousands of separate churches.
