About the Author

Janae Lyde, a native of New York, is a former Division I and II women’s basketball player for the University of North Alabama. Janae graduated from the University of North Alabama with a B. S. and M.S. in Sport Management, and a MBA in Sales and New Business.

She is currently working on her Doctorate of Business Administration in Higher Education from Trevecca Nazarene University.

Janae serves with the athletic department at North Alabama as the Assistant Athletic Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. She also worked as an adjunct faculty member for both the College of Business and College of Education and Human Sciences, instructing multiple undergraduate courses.
