About the Author

Laura C. Stock was born in the town of Assiniboia, SK and grew up in the small community of Congress. She developed a love of writing early on, which was encouraged by her sister, Rhonda, who would sit and write with her for hours. Many pages of paper were filled with stories, and from there grew her desire to write humour. She has always had a love for animals and now lives on a farm with her sister, Rhonda, 14 horses, 4 donkeys, 3 goats, 7 cats and a farm dog. Laura spends her days crocheting customized stuffed animals and creating pet products. When she is not working at that, her spare time is filled with her animals and writing. Laura had never had a real interest in goats until Nigel fell into their laps along with his donkey, Horton. From there, her love of goats grew to include Herbert and Winston. The daily antics of the three are what inspired her to write Nigel's diary.
