Overview

An Amish girl following a difficult path. Will she find the strength to complete it?

Eighteen-year-old Ruth Kepthart isn't looking forward to her Rumspringa at all. All she wants to do is join the Amish faith in full, be baptized, and marry. And deep down inside, she already knows which man would be right for her. Her parents, however, want her to experience more of life.

But Ruth hadn't anticipated that a murder would shatter the peace in their Amish community. When a woman is found dead, Ruth decides that she will have a Rumspringa after all–and it will be solving the murder.

Luckily, she doesn't have to walk this difficult path alone. Her best friend Enoch Schuller is with her, to help her and protect her from danger.

Ruth and Enoch soon find themselves trying to solve a murder with little to go on besides rumors. And as Ruth digs deeper into the mystery, she also digs deeper into her own feelings. There might be hope for love after all... if only fear doesn't get in the way.

This is a standalone book in a series of Amish suspense romance stories. The books each have a guaranteed HEA, so no cliff-hangers.

About the Author

Katie Fisher is a mom of four and wife to her high school sweetheart, Samuel. After a brief stint as an office assistant in her younger years, she now pours her heart and soul into her stories (and her family, of course). She loves to write romance, sometimes with a dash of suspense, but always sweet.

Having grown up close to an Amish community in Pennsylvania, she fell in love with the simple and fulfilling Amish lifestyle. She expresses this love in her stories, which take place in Amish communities and are always full of inspiration and hope. Favorite things include happily-ever-afters, gingerbread cookies and long evenings on the porch.
