This was a perfect blending of both great main characters and a fun plot. I loved that both Matros and Peter were determined to not mate, despite having their families set them up in the repopulation program. I loved that despite all of that, they found true companionship in one another. I also loved that Peter's unique understanding of the Ryba concerns helped them to create a possibility of lasting accord between the races on Augo.

A Lot of Good Stuff Going On in This Story

This is also the first mpreg story I've read where the birth is not just a birth scene but the catalyst to resolve diplomatic, military, health, and personal plot troubles. I'd actually like a sequel to this book, especially one that might update us on how Peter and Matros are faring.

The Alien King takes his Omega was a great book to read.

The storyline is fun with plenty of angst, backstabbing siblings and a little danger, the characters are fun and entertaining.

Watching them work things out with each other and come to terms with their own feelings individually was a fun process. They were clearly a good match and I enjoyed watching them grow together.
