Overview

In the midst of a new ice age, brave shamans hunt gods born of black glass and steel. The blood of these gods is sacred, and the shamans of each tribe are marked with the sacred blood in ways that give them strange, supernatural abilities.

When death comes to the sandy, arid lands of the Tarhuna Tribe, it comes clad in steel and sun-metal. It speaks with the voice of a lion and feeds the fields with the blood of the slain, but it also walks as a man does. Under the guidance of an Onyx Shaman, Clouds-Upon-Skin must learn the ways of the tribe of the Rain-Caller to bring balance not only to Tarhuna, but to the tribe of Orono as well. This is a new, stand alone story set in the Whispers of Spitfire universe.
