About the Author

Dennis Ploch was born in St. Louis, Missouri, but now resides in the Greater Memphis, Tennessee area. He and his wife, Mary, have been involved with working with children in all aspects, doing children’s camps and crusades. He is an internationally respected speaker for teacher development for the last forty-five years. Soon after being married, he and his wife joined the Clowns of America International and have used their talents in various venues. In the past, they have been involved with the St. Louis Children’s Hospital and worked with the Ronald McDonald House (St. Louis Chapter). He serves as an ambassador for the Memphis Chapter. They have traveled to forty-two different states and five different Native American reservations, plus five foreign countries, teaching and instructing Christian educators. They have been working with families through St. Jude’s Children’s Research Center in Memphis. The author has created two thirty-minute DVDs of Goober’s Place, full of songs, puppets, and lessons. He has been a licensed minister for over twenty years.
