About the Author

“The Adventures of Millsport” is Jim Millman’s first book. Recognized as one of the visionary pioneers in the sports marketing industry, Mr. Millman founded and built Millsport Inc. over 29 years into a leading sports marketing consultancy. The company enjoyed strategic partnerships with Compton Advertising and Doyle Dane Bernbach, and was successfully sold to the Omnicom Group in 2004. His accomplishments include the development and agency management of marketing partnerships, sponsorships and strategic alliances between leading sports/ intellectual properties with a wide array of blue-chip clients encompassing over 40 different advertising product categories. Under his direction, Millsport also created highly successful special events and original programming, including the Pepsi All-Star Softball Game, the NFL’s Fastest Man, and the prototype event for the NFL Experience. A graduate of Ohio University, Millman lives in New York City with his wife, Pam, and has two children, Matthew, 39, and Olivia, 31, and one grandchild, Louis, 6 months.
