Niya embraces the pivotal role that parents play in early childhood education to foster lifelong learning. The representation, the illustrations, the knowledge behind this book! Definitely a must have. My son loves reading before bed every night. He's only 2 so sometimes he's really engaged, sometimes he's doing his own thing. But this is definitely his new fav!!! He was super engaged and smiled whenever he learned the definition of crown! Truly the perfect representation of black boy joy!

This book is a a fun way to introduce kids to the beauty of reading and library with a nice dose of history. It has such vibrant illustrations and the story is fun and engaging! And using superheroes with such meaningful names....genius! I also love how kings and queens of Africa are added to their quest, letting kids know that there were/are kings and queens that look like them!
